KENYA

There is no one picture that can summarize what Kenya and a safari are all about. The rugged beauty, the wildlife, flora and fauna, the gracious people, the savannah and of course, Mount Kenya, are all just the beginning of an experience in Kenya.

FEATURED LOCATIONS

RECENT LOCATIONS

The main goal of any safari is to see the “big five”; elephants, rhino, Cape Buffalo, lions and leopards. In earlier times, this goal was for hunters who would shoot them for their trophies. Now we only shoot them with our cameras, although there are still some safaris in Tanzania and elsewhere where they use guns, but not in Kenya.

Mount Kenya is Africa’s second highest mountain at 5,199m (17,058 feet) and the highest of all Kenya Mountains. We hiked on the  Sirimon Trail starting at around 10,000 feet and ascended up to 12,000 feet.
