One of the main reasons to go to Mexico City is to take in all the great food. We had four nights which means four dinners. We were staying at the Hyatt Regency in Polanco which served us a great breakfast buffet every morning which had us well fueled until dinnertime. I selected restaurants from a list given to us by the concierge at the hotel as to places that would be within a 20 minute walking distance radius. After I get a list from a concierge, I then review the reviews and make my selections. We were not disappointed by any of the selections below and all were a nice way to wrap up a day of sightseeing and getting our 15,000+ steps in.

Night One: Sylvestre (Polanco)

Sylvestre is located upstairs and Nobu is downstairs in this stunning former residence in Polanco. The vibe is sophisticated, upscale and rustic. The place was beautiful with a seamless indoor-outdoor dining. The food is Argentine-Mexican fusion with incredible cuts of meat as well as high-end seafood, all served with bright, modern Mexican flavors.

Night Two: Emilio (Polanco)

Emilio is a refined, elegant restaurant overlooking Lincoln Park. The concept is Spanish Basque meets contemporary international excution with traditional Iberian flavors subtly woven with French and Mexican sensibilities. We enjoyed pristine seafood, rice dishes and croquettes. All the ingredients were super fresh and not overly complex to let the flavors shine. We stopped at a place called Limanteur before dinner for cocktails and they were also delicious and refreshing.

Night Three: Comedor Jacinta (Polanco)

Sometimes you just want an easy night out. Comedor Jacinta provided us with a cozy evening of Mexican comfort food. Not fancy, but all well executed. The menu shines in its corn based foods, tortillas, rich stews, tacos and traditional molcajete dishes. We enjoyed everyday Mexican heritage dishes elevated by a master chef.

Night Four: Guzina Oaxaca (Polanco)

Guzina Oaxaca is a high-end authentic that brings the soul of southern Mexican cuisine to Polanco. The kitchen focuses on complex chiles, rich traditional moles and even grasshoppers (no thank you). Service was excellent and it was a wonderful way to wrap up our brief culinary tour of Mexico City.
