PADUA: ACCOMODATIONS

We had just finished hiking in the Dolomites for five days and chose a pitstop in Padua for a couple of nights to see some of the notable sites and more importantly, to do laundry. Instead of staying at a hotel and getting charged outrageous fees to get our stuff cleaned, I decided we should check out an Airbnb instead, with laundry machine!!

If you're new to using Airbnbs, check out my travel tips on choosing accommodations in my Bologna Accommodation post. In Padua, I opted for a home by Alberto in the old Jewish ghetto. The home was on the first floor of an old building, so it didn't offer much in terms of views, but it had ample space, was well-situated, and very quiet. Alberto clearly paid attention to detail and design, creating a delightful space with warm orange walls, excellent furniture, a well-equipped kitchen, and spacious bedrooms. Our only issue was that the wifi wasn't working for much of our stay, but our host was very responsive and resolved it as quickly as possible by Italian standards. Fortunately, if you have a good cellular connection, you're not completely disconnected from the world, and being disconnected on vacation isn't necessarily a bad thing. If we make it back to Padua, we would be happy to stay in the home again.
