We had a delightful guide named Gretta from Context Tours who introduced us to some of her favorite buildings, which included a range from classical to Art Nouveau, Bauhaus, brutalist, and uniquely beautiful structures that didn't adhere to a single style.
The brutalist were most intriguing to us as we do not seem their work much here in the states.

The city expanded in concentric circles, similar to Vienna, so it lacks a clear grid layout. Most buildings are no taller than 6 or 7 stories, with the older ones being 2 to 3 stories high. Renovation is evident as buildings are transformed into hotels or luxury condos, but many more are in various states of disrepair, eagerly awaiting investment.
Scotty preferred Prague for its architecture over Berlin and Munich, with Budapest coming in second. Personally, I favored Vienna over Budapest, as it is more polished and grand. What I found fascinating about Budapest, however, was the presence of three very different architectural styles on a single block. Additionally, we noticed very little graffiti in Budapest, unlike Berlin.
