AUSTRIA
Elegance carved in mountains and melodies—refined yet rugged. Cities filled with music and art.
The countryside and mountains are stunning. Vienna is an imperial city that is definitely worth exploring further. The museums are stellar as is the strudel in the abundant cafes. Boulevards lined by shops and filled by well dressed residents.
GERMANY
Green forests, modern cities, trains that run on time and a strong industrial complex.
Germany is a complex country and our first visit exceeded our expectations. There is so much history, art and architecture to absorb. The people are open and humbled by their dark past under Hitler and clearly want a better world.
SINGAPORE
A tropical powerhouse where nature, culture, and tech converge.
Singapore is a modern stunning city with spectacular architecture and great food influenced by the Chinese, Indian and Malaysian people who make up the population. Once you get passed the heat and humidity, there is much to savor here.
CZECH REPUBLIC
Where cobblestones echo with rebellion, romance, and craft. A place of charm from another time.
Prague is a charming city that was left virtually intact following WWII. Classic buildings from the end of the !9th century and early 20th century line the avenues. The food, cleanliness, safety and beauty make it a wonderful place to visit.
GREECE
Light, legend, and life—woven into every breeze and bite. The birthplace of western civilization.
Greece is a must see for anyone who has studied Plato or Socrates, has seen pictures of the Parthenon sitting on top of the Acropolis, appreciates the contributions to our democratic ways and likes a good Greek Salad.
SLOVAKIA
Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia, located on the Danube River, and is known for its historic Old Town, Bratislava Castle, and St. Martin's Cathedral.
The city's history has been influenced by people of many nations and religions, including Austrians, Bulgarians, Croats, Czechs, Germans, Hungarians, Jews and Slovaks. Today, Bratislava is the political, cultural and economic centre of Slovakia.
HUNGARY
Evenings spent by the Danube, watching the city lights shimmer on the water, will leave you memories to cherish.
Our experience of Hungary was limited to Budapest where we fell in love with the architecture, food and the warmth of the people. Beyond the city’s vibrant streets and historic sites, we also discovered a lively café culture that invited us to slow down and savor each moment.
KENYA
Plains filled with a cacophony of birdsong and the roars of the various beasts of the land.
There is no one picture that can summarize Kenya and taking a safari. The rugged beauty, the wildlife, flora and fauna, the gracious people, the savannah and of course, Mount Kenya, are all just the beginning of an experience in Kenya.
TURKEY
Layers of legacy, spice, and history of civilizations past come together it its current modern society.
Istanbul is a very large modern city with a rich past and important place at the crossroads between Europe and Asia. The mosques, the bazaars, the Bosphorus are what made the biggest impression on me during our visit there.
